We recently turned a customer’s half bath into a full bathroom. When we came in to work on this bathroom, it was already completely gutted. The remodeling process had been started, but not completed.
Why Our Customer Needed To Upgrade
The half bath was not very functional for our customer. In the first place, he has small children who need a bathtub! This customer also has two teenage daughters, so they needed some additional vanity and storage space. A half bath shower with a small vanity was just not meeting their needs.
Tile Selection
Our customer picked out some beautiful white tile for the shower/tub combination, as well as some very nice decorative tile for the niche area in the shower. We accented this with some beautiful black fixtures.
Shiplap
On the opposite wall, we installed shiplap, as well as new lighting with matching black fixtures. The shiplap softens the look of the bathroom so that it has a modern look, but not too modern.
Floor Tile and Cabinets
Our customer also picked out a fantastic hexagonal tile for the floor, and some beautiful shaker-style cabinets. We built these right into the wall for them. Again, we used matching hardware.
The End Result
The result is a gorgeous-looking bathroom that gives them the space and functionality they were looking for. It’s so much better and more useful than the original half bath!
